For those interested in the history of Jacksons Landing (buildings, locations, industries, stories, people, transport, etc), the Pyrmont History Group website is a great place to start. It has lots of great information and resources related to the history of Pyrmont from its earliest days to current times.

The Pyrmont History Group holds history talks on the third Sunday of each month at The Station in Jacksons Landing.

Enquires can be made via details on their contact page.

This is a great old map showing the location of the old CSR facilities in Pyrmont

May 2024 Website Rebuild

The Pyrmont History Group previously hosted a lot of information and photos specific to Jacksons Landing on a sub-site within the Jacksons Landing website. In 2024 the Jacksons Landing website was rebuilt from scratch and the decision was made that it would be more appropriate for those resources to be hosted on the Pyrmont History Group website.

In the meantime as a partial measure, each strata page on this new JL website starts with an About section with a link to a document called JLHistory-<strata> which is a copy of all the specific <strata> “location” or building site history information from the old JL web site.

Those plus the remaining “location” histories are included here (for now):

tables can’t be indented (easily)
